Exchange Rates of the Litas against Foreign Currencies. Web Service provides exchange rates of the litas against foreign currencies, fixed by the Bank of Lithuania. With the adoption of the euro, the XML Web Services, providing the litas foreign exchange reference rates, will operate until 31 December 2015. Queries will return the historical foreign exchange rates, while in indicating a date after 31 December 2014 or in case of an error a negative number will be returned More information on foreseen changes, related to foreign exchange reference rates

Euro foreign exchange reference rates. Web Service provides exchange rates of the euro against foreign currencies, published by the European Central Bank and the Bank of Lithuania. With the adoption of the euro new XML Web Services, providing the euro foreign exchange reference rates, will operate. Their specifications may be found at the link Euro foreign exchange reference rates. Full functionality of the service will be available from 1 October 2014. In using the service: amount of foreign currency for EUR 1 will be indicated, latest euro foreign exchange reference rates will be available, euro foreign exchange reference rates published on a particular date and selected foreign exchange reference rates over a selected period. It should be noted that from the euro adoption the value of EUR 1 in foreign currency units will be published. Currently, the value of 1 foreign currency unit in litas is published.
